Thanksgiving day started out way early. We once again were helping with Jenna's turkey trot. We met up at 5:30am. After the half marathon got started i got a picture of the sunrise. The sky was beautiful. It was a fun morning and thankfully not too cold this year. It was nice though to get back home and nap for a bit in my warm bed.
That afternoon we headed over to the brinks for thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed a delicious meal and i even captured a picture of the perfect bite. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. We also got a bit silly with the sparkling cider. We checked out all of the ads to get our list down for shopping the next day. Chuckie, Aaron, Rissie and Bonnie couldn't wait so they headed off to do some midnight shopping. Those goofs stood in line for 5 hrs at best buy and walmart. After the girls and i got home, Alexa sat on the couch and went right to sleep. Evidence of a good day.

The next morning I was up early meet the girls and head out shopping. It was me, Jenna, Tracy, Kara, Jill and Cami. We seriously had a blast. We laughed hard and even got some shopping done. I put a good dent in my list of things i wanted to get. That night Chuckie and I took the kids to dinner and the movies. We saw Arthur Christmas. And i'll admit i slept through some of it. On Saturday we ran some errands and did some shopping and got some things done around the house. That night we went to the brinks again for norm and jill's anniversary dinner. On Sunday after church we had the brinks, bowdens and rhoads over for one final get rid of all your thanksgiving food dinner. On Monday we finally got the decorations out and put up. It was a great weekend and we have so much to be thankful for.
